Jason Henry
Jason Henry, a children’s-book author, illustrator, art director, and designer, has over 25 years of experience in children’s publishing at Penguin Random House and is now the principal of his graphic-design firm, Jason Henry Studios. He authored and illustrated the picture book UP AND AWAY! How Two Brothers Invented the Hot Air Balloon (published by Union Square Kids), and has upcoming titles. Recognized as a Publisher’s Weekly Star Watch Honoree and by The Bookbinder’s Guild, he designed notable works like the 2016 Newbery Honor Book Roller Girl, National Book Award Finalist When Stars Are Scattered, the NYT best-selling Ordinary People Change the World series (for which Jason is the Colorist), Dragons Love Tacos 2, and the Sibert award-winning Electric Ben. Jason founded Books Beyond Borders, a nonprofit donating books globally, and is a teacher and guest author/artist at elementary schools.
